Rail~Volution offers a limited number of scholarships each year to individuals working on transportation, community development, and land use issues, with special consideration for nonprofits, citizen activists and transportation advocates. We encourage a diverse group of stakeholders to apply. Rail~Volution seeks viewpoints and contributions from people of different races, nationalities, professional disciplines and geographic and economic backgrounds. We believe diversity is essential to greater understanding, energy, creativity and momentum.
Scholarships awarded are for registration and transportation costs only. If you are from the Denver area (RTD Service District, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs) you are eligible only for a registration scholarship. Rail~Volution does not provide lodging. Rail~Volution also administers a homestay program providing opportunities for people from the region to host an out-of-state guest. In return, the host receives a free registration to attend the conference. See “General Guidelines” below for more information.
The application for scholarships or to be a homestay host closes on July 20. Recipients will be announced the second week of August.
