Rail~Volution, Hampton Roads Transit and the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to organize the “Transformational Transit Summit” on June 27, 2016 at the Westin Virginia Beach. This day-long event digs deep into challenges and successes of building livable communities with transit and how to apply these principles and practices to the Hampton Roads community.
With three sessions “Transit’s Role in the New Economy”, “Transformative Transit: Lessons Learned from Healthy Cities” and “The Importance of Regional Partnership- Setting the Stage for Action” in addition to small group facilitated discussions on coalition building, making the case and measuring ROI, attendees can expect to receive tools and inspiration to equip them to take the next step in building a livable city for the future- economically, environmentally and socially.
